My friends know I’m a huge fan of Seth Godin, the author, entrepreneur, and teacher. He also happens to have the most popular blog in the world (seriously, google the single word “Seth”). One of his recent posts really got my attention.I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked what a conductor actually does. Truth be told, I’ve sometimes wondered myself.
This pretty much nails it (the really great conductors, anyway).
Not only that, it’s a succinct commentary on leadership in general, why we do what we do, and how to do it better. Required reading in my opinion, and not just for those in the arts.
