This post is a few days late, but welcome to the new Scanning the Dial! All of the Inside the Arts blogs have been moved to a Wordpress platform and template. The new URL for the site, as you might have noticed, is insidethearts.com/scanningthdial/. If you were using a bookmark to visit us at the old site, which was under adaptistration.com, please change your bookmark. Scanningthedial.com, .net and .org have all been set to redirect to this new address, so those will still work as usual.
Marty and I are excited about the new look and setup. We hope you’ll like it, too, and if you detect any bugs that need attention, please let us know and we’ll try to take care of them. Enjoy!
O.K., there is still a problem with getting the feed subscribed to a reader, at least MyYahoo!, a very popular feed aggregator.
Also, for those who do not like to be told what to do, I am playing with the new IE8 beta 2. At least so far, IE gives the user no choice, and will only handle a feed within IE.
Right now I am using Firefox 3, which is much more gracious, allowing the use of any aggregator or FF itself.
In the last few minutes, I tried both IE and FF.
The odd thing with IE, is that MS-Outlook, part of MS-Office, also is an aggregator, and IE is even shutting that out.
This is just petty computer stuff, and certainly has no effect on the wonderful content from you all.
I like the new look very much. But, I did have trouble attaching a Comments RSS feed to my aggregator.
I am going to try again,

Just two minutes later, I got the feed subscribed in Firefox. I will try IE again shortly.

It works for me now with Firefox 3 and Google Reader.
